The concern of space junk is increasing after the U.S. Iridium 33 and Russian Kosmos 2251 collided last year. It is expected that there will be 8 or 9 more collisions in the next 40 years and the NASA orbital debris program wants to prevent this by cleaning up space debris. They are coming up with a few different ideas of how to do this. The problem is that some of the opporational satellites are in danger of colliding with disfunctional satellites. There is a problem though, because each country should be responsible for cleaning up their own junk.
