Sony has a core electronic business. But next to that, the company owns Sony Computer Entertainment which produces Playstation consoles. Sony also owns Sony Pictures Entertainment which includes the Columbia Pictures, Screen Gems and TriStar Pictures Marquees. Sony pictures has a large tv production and distribution business. 20% of MGM studios is owned by Sony. Sony Music's sole shareholder is their own company. Sony Financial Holdings is also owned by them, as well as Sony Life Insurance and Sony Bank. It is also joint owners of a couple other businesses.
